Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your download and use of Vokk, a native macOS speech-to-text application ("Vokk", the "App", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1.The service

Vokk is a macOS application that converts your speech into text in real time and inserts it into whatever application you are using. By default, transcription runs entirely on your own Mac. Vokk also offers an optional cloud transcription mode that you may enable, described in our Privacy Policy.

2.Free trial

Vokk includes a 24-hour free trial. You may download, install, and use the App at no cost for 24 hours, with no obligation and no payment information required to begin. The trial is provided on an as-is basis. When the trial ends, continued use requires a paid license. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the trial at any time.

3.Licenses and payment

• A paid license is offered on a subscription basis at $4 per month or $39 per year, as displayed at the time of purchase. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclusive of any taxes that may apply.
• Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• A paid license authorizes personal or business use by a single user. You may not resell, sublicense, or share your license key.

4.Refunds

Because a full 24-hour free trial is provided before any purchase, we want you to be sure Vokk works for you before you pay. If you are not satisfied, contact us at support@vokk.ai within 14 days of your purchase and we will work with you in good faith on a refund. Refunds are handled together with our payment provider.

5.Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
• circumvent, disable, or tamper with licensing, the trial mechanism, or any security feature of the App;
• use the App to violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party, including recording others without consent where consent is required.

6.Intellectual property

The App, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App; they do not transfer ownership of anything. Text you produce with Vokk is yours.

7.Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that transcription will be accurate or error-free, or that the App will be uninterrupted.

8.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9.Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
